How to Get Your Article Ranked High in the Search Engines

April 26, 2010 Comments off

Want to learn a secret that almost no one knows about? A secret so protected that not even the GURUS know? Now is your chance to find out how to get your article ranked in the search engines in the top spots. Read on to find out how it is done.

When searching for something on the internet, especially a product that is being sold on clickbank or paydotcom, how many times do you come across an article that is ranking on the first page of Google? I would bet that you have seen it. I have. I have seen articles that rank on the first page, number one position, above the product they are advertising, for the exact same keywords they are targetting. Let’s look at a computer product called “easy backukp wizard”. Go ahead. Google it, but don’t forget to come back here to find out how it is done.

See it? It’s an ArticlesBase article that is above the actual product. Pretty incredible too. And, at the time of this writing, it has over 40,400 views. WOW! Imagine how much commission that article has made!

So, let’s get down to how it is done.

The Backlink Building Secret

Links that point to a website are called a backlink. the more of these that a website has pointing towards it, the more important it is perceived in the eyes of the search engines. Think of a backlink as a vote. If a website is casting a vote for another website, is becomes a little more important. If many websites – hundreds, or thousands, are casting the same vote, that website becomes very important.

The same concept applies to articles. And why wouldn’t it? An article is really nothing more than a web page. Why should it be treated any differently? In fact, it isn’t even on the base domain (ArticlesBase.com), so the authority of the article has nothing to do with the equation. The simple fact is, this article is ranking so well because it has backlinks pointing at it. It has websites and links pointing at it and they are saying “easy backup wizard”. The websites pointing at this particular article are other links from article directories.

That’s the secret! Wow. Not as much of a shocker after all is it. But, how do you actually get all these links? Simple! Article marketing. All you have to do is get a well written article approved on an article directory, such as ArticlesBase, then write a second article that points to that original article. Ensure that the link in the resource box of article #2 has the same keywords as the original article. That is essential.

There you have it. The cat is now out of the bag, and now you can get all your articles ranked high on the search engines. All it takes is about 10 minutes of writing and you will have your base article.

I’ll let you in on another little secret.

Once that original article is written, take it and throw it into an article rewriter, like the one in Article Marketing Robot. You will have another article written in no time, and you won’t even need to think about it.

If you want your article ranked high in the search engines, then you need Article Marketing Robot. Enough said.

The Long-Term Effects of Article Marketing

April 26, 2010 Comments off

I would like to take a few minutes of your time to talk about how article marketing works. It is a common misconception that article marketing produces instant results, and unfortunately, this can be very discouraging for beginner internet marketers. The reality of article marketing is that it can take time, and if you have the patience and tenacity to write a few articles every day, then the traffic and sales will eventually pay off.

Those Crazy Success Stories

On several occassions, you hear or read about someone who made it big with a magic article that ranked well in the search engines. This isn’t a lie, but it also isn’t exactly accurate either. I would bet that the odds are pretty good that the author who did so well with that article didn’t do it on their first try. Even so,

The thing about article marketing is that it takes a lot of trial and error. You need to learn exactly how to line things up in an article, what to put in your resource box, and basically, how to get the reader to click through to the website that you are actually trying to promote.

Compounding Effects

Even if you are not an amazing writer, and can’t produce those amazing success stories, you can at least rely on the power of numbers. I do. In fact, I don’t really consider myself that great of a writer, but I know this. If I am to write a few articles every day a few things will happen for me.

The first, I will get more content out there, and by default I should get a little more traffic from every article I write.

The second, If I position my resource box correctly, and use the right anchor text in it, I will benefit from an SEO standpoint.

Lastly, the third, and most importantly, is the compound “interest” effect I will receive. The more articles I write with the proper keywords in them, the more eyes that will see them. And if I do this over a long period of time, I will have so many articles, that the traffic will eventually become substantial enough to make sales and earn a living.

And the cost? Nothing but time. And that’s the beauty of article marketing. All you have to do is sit back with a cup of coffee and jot down some key terms. Once you have these, then all you need to do is expand on them. I have a habit, which I’m try to break, of checking my word count every few minutes, but I have gotten the article writing process down to about 10 minutes for one piece. That is on average about 500 words.

To say the least, if you put 30 minutes of time per day to writing articles you can author 2 per day. If you did that just 300 days of the year, you would get 600 articles. If every article got only 10 clicks per day, after 2 years you would be betting 1200 clicks per day, or over 30000 clicks per month. And that is targetted traffic, because they already read what you have to say.

That, my friends, is the long-term effects of article marketing.

If you are a beginner article marketer, don’t get discouraged. It takes time to develop a nice flow of traffic. You will soon realize that your article marketing efforts have paid off.

Backlink Building using Article Marketing Strategy

April 26, 2010 Comments off

In this article I will talk will how you can use different strategies to get your website higher in the search engines by getting back links to your website.

What is a backlink?

A backlink is a link that points back to your website from another website. Many times you will see blue underlined text underneath the link. That blue underlined text is called anchor text. Anchor text is the keyword that the link is actually targeting. For example, if the blue underlined text was “stop smoking”, then that link most likely will be pointing towards a stop smoking website. Since the blue underlined text of that link is “stop smoking”, the author of that website is actually trying to get ranked higher in Google for the keyword “stop smoking”. I hope that clears up what anchor text is.

How do we get backlinks?

Getting backlinks to your website can be a difficult task. One approach to gaining backlinks back to your website would be to sign up to communities and forums and start posting comments on peoples threads in hopes that maybe they will see and click your link that is in your signature of your forum profile. Many forums dislike it if you place a link in your signature and then start posting especially if you are a new member. This is not a completely effective way to get links back your website.

The second way that you might be able to get a link back to your website is by going through link exchange websites. In the last few years this has been looked down upon by many search engines. It doesn’t actually help get your website listed in search engine rankings like you would think. The problem with this is you don’t know where the person you are linking to has put their links. If a website that you are linking to is in association with so-called “bad neighborhood” websites then it could overall affect your ranking in the search engines.

The best way that you can go out and get links back to your website is through article marketing. Article marketing is much like what you’re reading right now. This article is a method of article marketing in that I give information about a niche or topic that provides value to the reader. If you look at the bottom of this article you’ll see that I have an author resource box. In the resource box is my link in this article I am targeting “article submission”.

If you go to the if you go to Google and search for “article submission” you will see that my website that the link is pointing to, “Article Marketing Robot”, is showing up on the first page. And if it isn’t then this article has just been published and I have just started this particular backlink approach for the keyword I’m targeting.

You can’t expect article marketing to work overnight. You can expect your website to show up in Google for the keyword that you’re targeting in a matter of about three months. Yes it takes time but your website is not going to go anywhere it’s not like it will leave you. So look at the long-term. Take article marketing as a valid approach for getting your website listed in the search engine rankings and enjoy the results.

Article Submission is a very effective approach to provide high quality backlinks to your website. If you don’t do it, you should try article submission because it works!
